amika Hydro Rush Intense Moisture Mask

Editor's Take
The moisture story holds up here: Hyaluronic Acid and Polyglutamic Acid bring real cushion, but fragrance and quats keep it out of clean-beauty sainthood.
Four-pillar formula scores
- Efficacy: 8.4 / 10
- Modern Tech: 7.5 / 10
- Clean Beauty: 5.6 / 10
- Sustainability: 6.3 / 10
The Verdict
For dry, thirsty hair, this is one of Amika’s more convincing masks: Hyaluronic Acid, Polyglutamic Acid, Squalane, Shea Butter, and Ethyl Macadamiate give it cushion without leaning on silicones. The conditioning comes from classic quats, so the slip is immediate and useful, though sensitive scalps may not love that choice. Clean-beauty purists will also clock the synthetic fragrance, fragrance allergens, and Phenoxyethanol, which explains the softer clean score. As a moisture mask, it earns the shelf space, just not the clean halo.
