Aveeno Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer
by Aveeno · skin_care
Editor's Take
Aveeno gets the soothing gel-cream brief right, but the silicone-heavy base makes its clean positioning the weak link by a wide margin.
Four-pillar formula scores
- Efficacy: 7.5 / 10
- Modern Tech: 6.8 / 10
- Clean Beauty: 1.5 / 10
- Sustainability: 6.9 / 10
The Verdict
Efficacy is Strong at 7.5, with Glycerin, Oat Kernel Flour, and Panthenol supporting hydration and sensitive-skin comfort. Technology is Modern at 6.8, thanks to liquid-crystal emulsifiers and biomimetic lipid support, while the fragrance-free format suits daily facial moisturizing. Clean is Very Poor at 1.5 because Dimethicone, Polyacrylamide, and several persistent synthetics dominate the trade-off. A credible sensitive-skin moisturizer, not a clean-beauty pick.
