The Verdict
The formula does deliver on its renewing promise; Retinol and Niacinamide are real, active, and positioned to work. The surfactant system is effective but dated: Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate leads the cleanse, Cocamide MIPA thickens the lather, and both bring clean-chemistry concerns that stricter standards flag. The trade is clear: you get credible skin renewal in the shower, but the base underneath is pure 1990s drugstore. Worth it if you want Retinol where most body washes stop at fragrance.
