CeraVe Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum

by CeraVe · skin_care

Editor's Take

CeraVe did the useful thing here: hyaluronic acid plus ceramides and cholesterol, though the smooth feel comes with Dimethicone, alcohol, and synthetic polymers.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Efficacy: 8.2 / 10
  • Modern Tech: 6.8 / 10
  • Clean Beauty: 5.2 / 10
  • Sustainability: 3.3 / 10

The Verdict

For a drugstore hyaluronic serum, this has more going on than a plain water-gel hydrator. Sodium Hyaluronate handles the water grab, while ceramides, cholesterol, panthenol, and phytosphingosine make the barrier-support case credible. The trade-off is the feel: Dimethicone, Alcohol Denat., and synthetic polymers help it glide and dry down fast, but they drag down the clean and sustainability profile. Worth it as a practical barrier-hydration serum, not as a clean or planet-minded pick.
