CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream

Editor's Take

Mass-market night creams rarely come this well stocked: ceramides, peptides, and niacinamide earn the jar, but the silicone-heavy base keeps it out of clean-beauty territory.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Efficacy: 8.8 / 10
  • Modern Tech: 7.5 / 10
  • Clean Beauty: 4.8 / 10
  • Sustainability: 5.5 / 10

The Verdict

What's in the jar is stronger than the usual drugstore night cream: ceramides, cholesterol, phytosphingosine, niacinamide, and peptides all make sense for overnight barrier repair. The texture comes from a richer, silicone-assisted base, so it feels polished and cushiony rather than strictly clean. The trade-off is real: excellent skin-barrier support, mixed sustainability, and a clean profile dragged down by cyclic silicone, synthetic polymers, and phenoxyethanol. A credible nightly repair cream for the price, not a clean-beauty showcase.
