Editor's Take
A bottle of plant oils that actually delivers the shine it promises, but pays for it with a heavy fragrance load , nine disclosed allergens plus undisclosed synthetics.
Four-pillar formula scores
- Efficacy: 7.2 / 10
- Modern Tech: 3.5 / 10
- Clean Beauty: 6.6 / 10
- Sustainability: 8.8 / 10
The Verdict
This is a silicone-free oil blend that earns its Strong efficacy score (7.2) through concentrated lipids: Sunflower, Evening Primrose, Rice Bran, and Sweet Almond oils do the surface-smoothing and shine work that Dimethicone would handle in a conventional formula. The sustainability profile is well aligned (8.8) , a readily biodegradable, vegan, plant-derived base with no persistent synthetics. The trade-off is fragrance: three citrus essential oils, nine disclosed allergens, and undisclosed Parfum push the clean score down to 6.6, making this a poor fit for sensitive scalps despite the otherwise natural build. Worth it if you want real plant-oil shine and can tolerate the scent load; skip it if fragrance irritation is a concern.
