Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser, Face Wash for Sensitive Skin
by Cetaphil · skin_care
Editor's Take
Cetaphil gets the daily-cleanser brief right: gentler than old sulfate washes, though the fragrance keeps it from being the obvious sensitive-skin default.
Four-pillar formula scores
- Efficacy: 7.4 / 10
- Modern Tech: 5.5 / 10
- Clean Beauty: 5.5 / 10
- Sustainability: 7.9 / 10
The Verdict
Efficacy is Excellent, with Glycerin helping limit post-rinse tightness while Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate provides mild cleansing. Sustainability is Very Good, but Clean is Average because the formula still relies on an ethoxylated surfactant, an acrylate polymer, and fragrance. Technology has Some Modern Features, notably Niacinamide and Panthenol in a mass-market cleanser. A credible daily wash for normal-to-oily skin, not the best fragrance-free choice for reactive faces.
