Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion, Hydrating Body Moisturizer

Editor's Take

Cetaphil keeps the counter promise here: Glycerin, Niacinamide, and Panthenol make it better than basic lotion, but the base is still old-guard pharmacy formulation.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Efficacy: 7.2 / 10
  • Modern Tech: 4.5 / 10
  • Clean Beauty: 5.9 / 10
  • Sustainability: 7.3 / 10

The Verdict

For daily body moisture, this is more useful than its drugstore plainness suggests: Glycerin handles hydration, while Niacinamide and Panthenol give the skin-barrier story some real backing. The catch is the familiar Cetaphil base, with Isopropyl Palmitate, Ceteareth-20, and Dimethicone doing the comfort-and-slip work rather than anything especially modern. Strong enough for everyday dry skin, not a clean-beauty or high-tech barrier treatment.
