Editor's Take

Clinique earns the hydration story with serious moisture binders, but the silicone-heavy base keeps this firmly outside clean-beauty territory.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Efficacy: 8.4 / 10
  • Modern Tech: 8.2 / 10
  • Clean Beauty: 2.5 / 10
  • Sustainability: 6.3 / 10

The Verdict

Efficacy is Excellent, with Saccharide Isomerate, trehalose, and aloe supporting prolonged hydration without the weight of a rich cream. Technology is Highly Advanced, thanks to bio-ferments, Hydrogenated Lecithin, and Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12. The trade-off is a Very Poor clean profile: Dimethicone leads the feel, while synthetic polymers and dyes further weaken alignment. A strong gel-cream for dehydration, priced in formulation compromises rather than performance ones.
