CoverGirl Trublend Skin Enhancer Balm Blush Stick
by CoverGirl · makeup
Editor's Take
A balm blush built on synthetic waxes and Polyethylene that delivers smooth glide and multi-dimensional glow, but leans heavily on petrochemical formula and synthetic dyes.
Four-pillar formula scores
- Efficacy: 7.8 / 10
- Modern Tech: 6.8 / 10
- Clean Beauty: 7.0 / 10
- Sustainability: 6.9 / 10
The Verdict
The formula works: the optical system of Mica, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, and Calcium Sodium Borosilicate delivers radiance that punches above drugstore expectations, and the organoclay rheology keeps pigments stable through repeated use. The trade-off is the base; Polyethylene at position 4, synthetic waxes, and a full suite of organic dye lakes that put this squarely in conventional territory. Jojoba Seed Oil and Titanium Dioxide add some biomimetic credibility, but the base is pure mass-market pragmatism. Worth it for the glow if you're not chasing clean credentials.
