Editor's Take

For long-wear makeup, the tack earns its reputation, but anyone shopping by clean-beauty standards will find the modern gel base hard to defend.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Efficacy: 8.2 / 10
  • Modern Tech: 6.8 / 10
  • Clean Beauty: 2.3 / 10
  • Sustainability: 5.5 / 10

The Verdict

Efficacy is directionally sound: PEG-150 Distearate creates strong tack for extending foundation wear, while Glycerin and Niacinamide add useful hydration and barrier support. Technology is Modern, with a polymer-thickened cooling gel that favors adhesion over silicone smoothing. Clean is Poor because ethoxylated ingredients such as Polysorbate 80 dominate the base, and sustainability is Mixed. A competent grip primer with a clear trade-off: makeup longevity wins, clean-beauty alignment does not.
