Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Lightweight Matte Foundation with 36H Wear

by Estée Lauder · makeup

Editor's Take

Double Wear earns its reputation: serious matte grip, lightweight silicone slip, and useful Niacinamide, though clean-beauty shoppers will find the formula decidedly off brief.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Efficacy: 8.5 / 10
  • Modern Tech: 8.0 / 10
  • Clean Beauty: 2.8 / 10
  • Sustainability: 8.9 / 10

The Verdict

The silicone-rich base and Trimethylsiloxysilicate resin explain the quick set, transfer resistance, and unusually durable matte finish. Niacinamide, ferments, and Sodium Hyaluronate give it more skin support than the average long-wear foundation. Its technology and performance are excellent, but COSMOS alignment is limited and the persistent petrochemical-derived ingredients make the clean score the clear weak spot. A credible pick when all-day wear matters more than clean-formula credentials.
