First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair® Cream Intense Hydration

Editor's Take

Shea Butter and Ceramide NP at active levels, real barrier repair in a rich base; the Dimethicone and synthetic esters are there, but they're not running the show.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Efficacy: 7.8 / 10
  • Modern Tech: 6.5 / 10
  • Clean Beauty: 7.8 / 10
  • Sustainability: 8.7 / 10

The Verdict

This is a legitimately strong intensive moisturizer that earns its efficacy score (7.8) and clean score (7.8) through high-level humectants, barrier-repairing ceramides, and a lipid-dense Shea Butter base. The formula leans on biomimetic formula , Ceramide NP and Squalane doing real structural work , rather than relying on silicone gloss to fake hydration. Phenoxyethanol, Dimethicone, and EDTA keep it out of the strictest clean frameworks, but the base is genuinely nourishing, not just cosmetically smoothing. Worth it for compromised barriers and dry skin that needs more than surface slip.
