Living Proof Clarifying Detox Shampoo
by Living Proof · hair_care
Editor's Take
If your shower leaves mineral gunk behind, this is the rare detox shampoo with real hard-water brains, but the clean-beauty halo stops at fragrance and PEGs.
Four-pillar formula scores
- Efficacy: 8.8 / 10
- Modern Tech: 8.0 / 10
- Clean Beauty: 5.6 / 10
- Sustainability: 5.4 / 10
The Verdict
For performance, the strong scores are earned: Exceptional efficacy and Highly Advanced technology show up in Sodium Polystyrene Sulfonate for mineral management and Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate for a sulfate-free cleanse. It is better aimed at hard-water buildup, dullness, and product residue than at everyday gentle washing, which is exactly where many clarifiers bluff. Clean is the weak corner at 5.6, with undisclosed Fragrance/Parfum, PEG and ethoxylated helpers, and a trace acrylates polymer keeping it out of stricter clean territory. Worth it as an occasional reset shampoo, not as the cleanest bottle on the shelf.
