MAC Pro Longwear Liquid Correcting Concealer

Editor's Take

If you want budge-proof coverage, this is the MAC counter doing its job, but the silicone-heavy base is miles from clean standards.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Efficacy: 8.5 / 10
  • Modern Tech: 7.5 / 10
  • Clean Beauty: 1.0 / 10
  • Sustainability: 5.9 / 10

The Verdict

On skin, the formula is built to set fast and stay put: volatile Cyclopentasiloxane flashes off, while Trimethylsiloxysilicate leaves a grippy film that helps pigment resist transfer. That is why it earns its long-wear reputation, especially for correction work where opacity and hold matter more than a skin-care feel. The trade-off is plain at the counter: several silicones, PEG-modified silicone, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, and petrochemical-leaning support ingredients put it nowhere near stricter clean-beauty shelves. A strong long-wear concealer, worth it for makeup longevity rather than ingredient minimalism.
