MILK MAKEUP Hydro Grip 12-Hour Hydrating Gel Stick Concealer

by MILK MAKEUP · makeup

Editor's Take

A gel stick that swaps silicones for plant-derived slip and still delivers 12-hour wear, peptides at the top, and a clean INCI; rare for makeup.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Efficacy: 8.5 / 10
  • Modern Tech: 8.0 / 10
  • Clean Beauty: 10.0 / 10
  • Sustainability: 8.5 / 10

The Verdict

This is a genuinely modern concealer base. The formula leads with hydration actives (sodium hyaluronate, agave extract, squalane) and a peptide smoothing system, then builds coverage through mineral pigments and plant-derived emollients instead of the usual silicone base. The anhydrous gel-stick formula keeps the actives stable and the wear time long without relying on cyclopentasiloxane or dimethicone. Sustainability takes a hit from synthetic wax and petrochemical alkanes in the slip system, but the clean score is perfect and the efficacy is strong. Worth it if you want hybrid skincare-makeup that doesn't compromise on either side.
