MILK MAKEUP Lip + Cheek Cream Blush Stick and Lip Color
by MILK MAKEUP · makeup
Editor's Take
A color stick that quietly moonlights as a mineral sunscreen; Titanium Dioxide at active levels, real plant oils doing the emollient work, synthetic fragrance and dye lakes keeping it out of clean territory.
Four-pillar formula scores
- Efficacy: 7.8 / 10
- Modern Tech: 6.5 / 10
- Clean Beauty: 6.1 / 10
- Sustainability: 8.8 / 10
The Verdict
The formula delivers on two fronts: immediate slip from Castor and Avocado oils, and functional UVB protection from Titanium Dioxide positioned high enough to matter. That dual utility is rare in a cheek-and-lip stick. The trade-off sits in the fragrance system and synthetic dye lakes, which pull the clean score down but don't compromise the core performance. Incidental ingestion is expected on lips, and while the EU banned titanium dioxide in food over genotoxicity concerns, cosmetic use remains permitted. Worth it if you want color and mineral UV protection in one swipe; skip it if you're avoiding undisclosed fragrance or synthetic pigments.
