NARS Afterglow Liquid Blush

by NARS · makeup

Editor's Take

NARS earns the afterglow: polished pigment, luminous wear, and impressive staying power, but the silicone-heavy base leaves clean-beauty shoppers firmly outside the party.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Efficacy: 8.1 / 10
  • Modern Tech: 7.8 / 10
  • Clean Beauty: 1.6 / 10
  • Sustainability: 5.9 / 10

The Verdict

The efficacy is exceptional, with Trimethylsiloxysilicate extending wear and treated pigments helping the color apply evenly. Technology is modern, and Sodium Hyaluronate adds a modest hydration assist without pretending this is skincare. Clean alignment is very poor, driven largely by Dimethicone, PEG-modified silicones, and Isododecane, while sustainability lands at Lower Sustainability Fit. A strong liquid blush for luminous, durable color, with performance taking clear priority over ingredient minimalism.
