NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer

by NARS · makeup

Editor's Take

Mostly silicone blur and dense pigment, this earns the soft-matte name but lands nowhere near clean standards’s side of the aisle.

The Verdict

On skin, this is the kind of pot concealer that makes sense: grip, coverage, and that powdery blur NARS shoppers come for. The catch is what buys that finish: a silicone-heavy base with Nylon-12 and petroleum waxes, plus skincare-adjacent extras like Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 and acetylated hyaluronate. Those actives help the comfort story, but they are not the main event; the main event is smooth, matte camouflage. Worth it for high-coverage makeup performance, not for a kit built around biodegradability or clean-beauty standards.
