The Verdict
The bottle says oil. The INCI says silicone serum. Dimethicone and Phenyl Trimethicone lead the formula, delivering immediate photonic shine and thermal protection but sitting on the surface where they can't reach the cortex. The patented Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate does repair disulfide bonds when it gets there, but this formula prioritizes cosmetic gloss over penetration. Worth it if you want a luxury finishing serum that happens to repair bonds; skip it if you expect an oil that works from within.
