Ole Henriksen Detox Drops 2% Salicylic Acid Toner
by Ole Henriksen · skin_care
Editor's Take
For once, an acne toner skips the alcohol-strip routine; 2% Salicylic Acid earns its keep, though the cooling finish may test reactive skin.
Four-pillar formula scores
- Efficacy: 7.8 / 10
- Modern Tech: 6.8 / 10
- Clean Beauty: 6.6 / 10
- Sustainability: 9.5 / 10
The Verdict
Efficacy is Strong at 7.8, with 2% Salicylic Acid doing credible pore-clearing work while Purple Willow ferment and cucumber soften the usual acne-toner approach. Sustainability is Very Good at 9.5, helped by plant extracts and ferments, while technology is Modern despite the older Polysorbate 20 solubilizer. Clean is the compromise at 6.6, and Menthyl Lactate may feel needlessly provocative on reactive skin. A credible pick for oily, congestion-prone skin, not a soothing toner for an already irritated barrier.
