PATTERN Leave-In Conditioner

Editor's Take

A lipid-heavy leave-in anchored by Keravis protein and ten oils, but the fragrance allergen load and EU-banned Lilial undercut the clean-beauty positioning.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Efficacy: 8.2 / 10
  • Modern Tech: 6.8 / 10
  • Clean Beauty: 5.7 / 10
  • Sustainability: 7.0 / 10

The Verdict

This formula delivers on slip and moisture with a thoughtfully built oil blend and proven anti-breakage protein technology. The cationic emulsion base provides immediate detangling, while Jojoba, Avocado, and Castor oils layer in long-term softness. The Keravis system is a legitimate strengthening active, not filler. But the fragrance package is a problem: nine disclosed allergens plus Lilial, which has been banned in the EU since 2022 for reproductive toxicity concerns. For a product marketed toward conscious consumers, that's a meaningful gap. Worth it for the lipid density and protein support if fragrance sensitivity isn't a concern; skip it if you're avoiding allergens or expect stricter clean formulation.
