Rhode Peptide Lip Tint Nourishing Glaze

Editor's Take

Gloss lovers get the cushion and peptide story here, but the shine is carried by synthetic film formers, not a greener balm base.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Efficacy: 7.8 / 10
  • Modern Tech: 7.5 / 10
  • Clean Beauty: 8.3 / 10
  • Sustainability: 3.8 / 10

The Verdict

On lips, this should feel plush, glossy, and more treatment-minded than the average tinted balm, with shea, cupuaçu, and Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 giving it more than just color. The catch is the base: Polybutene, Microcrystalline Wax, and synthetic wax do a lot of the shine and grip work, which explains the weak sustainability score. Clean alignment is still decent because the dyes are trace and the formula avoids bigger irritation baggage. Worth it as a glossy tint with real lip-care extras, not as a natural balm.
