Tarte Blush Tape Liquid Blush

Editor's Take

A silicone-and-hydrocarbon emulsion that sets fast and wears long, with Diamond Powder doing real optical work; modern makeup chemistry, not a treatment.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Efficacy: 7.8 / 10
  • Modern Tech: 7.5 / 10
  • Clean Beauty: 6.5 / 10
  • Sustainability: 6.9 / 10

The Verdict

This is a performance-driven liquid blush built on volatile hydrocarbons and silicones that evaporate quickly, leaving a durable, light-reflecting film. Titanium Dioxide and Mica deliver opacity and radiance, while Diamond Powder adds genuine soft-focus blur. The water-in-oil formula is modern and stable, and the Hydrogenated Styrene/Isoprene Copolymer ensures long wear. Licorice Root and Porcelain Flower extracts are present but secondary to the cosmetic base. Worth it if you want a blush that stays put and photographs well, but the formula prioritizes durability over green chemistry.
