Editor's Take

The Ordinary rarely makes this much formulation sophistication look so unshowy; the rice-lipid microemulsion earns its treatment credentials without inflating the price.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Efficacy: 8.5 / 10
  • Modern Tech: 8.2 / 10
  • Clean Beauty: 8.3 / 10
  • Sustainability: 7.8 / 10

The Verdict

Efficacy is Exceptional, with Ectoin, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Lipids, and Hydrogenated Lecithin supporting hydration, soothing, and barrier repair. Clean is Excellent, though trace Isoceteth-20 keeps it outside stricter natural standards. Technology is Highly Advanced, and the amino-acid NMF complex gives dry or stressed skin more than basic moisturization. A standout barrier moisturizer for the price.
