The Verdict
This is a classic long-wear pencil built on volatile silicones and mineral waxes; it delivers the creamy application and smudge-proof set the category demands, but the base is firmly rooted in pre-2010 cosmetic engineering. Cyclopentasiloxane provides the initial slip, Isododecane evaporates to lock pigment in place, and the trio of petroleum-derived waxes (Synthetic Wax, Ceresin, Ozokerite) structures the stick. Jojoba oil and antioxidants (Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate) add a thin layer of skin-conditioning support, but they're afterthoughts in a formula designed for adhesion, not nourishment. The efficacy is strong; this will stay put through water, sweat, and a full day; but the environmental footprint is heavy (persistent silicones, non-renewable waxes) and the clean alignment is low. Worth it if waterproof performance is non-negotiable and you're comfortable with conventional color cosmetics chemistry.
