Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm

by Versed · skin_care

Editor's Take

Quietly useful for melting SPF and makeup, with a cleaner-than-most base, though the eucalyptus-clove scent makes it less universal than the balm aisle suggests.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Efficacy: 7.8 / 10
  • Modern Tech: 5.5 / 10
  • Clean Beauty: 9.0 / 10
  • Sustainability: 7.3 / 10

The Verdict

For makeup and daily SPF, this is a capable balm: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride gives it the melt, and Polyglyceryl-6 Dicaprate helps it rinse cleaner than old PEG-heavy pots. Efficacy is Strong, and Clean is Excellent, helped by a silicone-free, polyethylene-free base. The trade-off is the scent: Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil plus Eugenol and Limonene make the sensitive-skin pitch less tidy. The build has some modern features rather than category standard ones, but for a first cleanse it earns its keep.
