CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser

Editor's Take
Dependable pharmacy comfort with real ceramides, but the clean-beauty crowd will spot the paraben and PEGs before the bottle hits the counter.

The Verdict
For dry, easily annoyed skin, Highly effective for its category is fair: this creamy, low-foam wash uses Glycerin, Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP, Ceramide EOP, Cholesterol, and Sodium Hyaluronate to cleanse without the squeaky aftermath. The catch is the clean-label story, where Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, PEG-40 Stearate, Polysorbate 20, and Disodium EDTA keep it out of stricter clean-beauty territory. The lamellar gel network gives it a modern barrier-friendly feel, more lotion-cleanser than sudsy face wash. A credible daily cleanser for barrier comfort, not a clean-label poster child.
