CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser
by CeraVe · skin_care
Editor's Take
Barrier-helpful for a drugstore cleanser, with urea, niacinamide, and ceramides doing real work while the clean-beauty crowd will side-eye the PEGs.
Four-pillar formula scores
- Performance: 7.8 / 10
- Innovative Ingredients: 6.8 / 10
- Clean Standards: 6.4 / 10
- Formula Sustainability: 6.9 / 10
The Verdict
Efficacy: Strong at 7.8, and that tracks for daily cleansing when you want foam without the stripped, squeaky finish. Urea, Niacinamide, and the ceramide trio give it more skin-comfort backup than most mass-market foaming cleansers, while Salicylic Acid adds a light pore-care nudge. The trade-off is the ingredient style: PEG-100 Stearate, Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, and Disodium EDTA keep it out of clean-beauty territory. A credible everyday face wash for normal-to-dry or barrier-fussy skin, not a minimalist natural formula.
