CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

by CeraVe · skin_care

Editor's Take

A pharmacy-counter classic that earns its dry-skin reputation with Petrolatum, ceramides, and MVE release, but clean-beauty shoppers will see throwback drugstore chemistry.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Performance: 8.5 / 10
  • Innovative Ingredients: 6.8 / 10
  • Clean Standards: 4.3 / 10
  • Formula Sustainability: 7.3 / 10

The Verdict

Strong efficacy is the story here: Petrolatum, Glycerin, Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP, Ceramide EOP, Cholesterol, Phytosphingosine, and Sodium Hyaluronate make this a serious barrier cream for dry, compromised skin. The MVE delivery gives it Modern technology, so it is more than a plain tub of occlusive moisturizer. The catch is the clean profile, with Petrolatum, Ceteareth-20, Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, EDTA, and Carbomer keeping COSMOS alignment Limited. Worth it as a barrier-repair workhorse, not as a clean-beauty cream.
