Editor's Take

Salicylic Acid at the top of a Marula and Cupuacu butter base; an acne treatment that doesn't strip, rare in the OTC aisle.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Performance: 8.2 / 10
  • Innovative Ingredients: 6.8 / 10
  • Clean Standards: 9.8 / 10
  • Formula Sustainability: 9.5 / 10

The Verdict

This is a legitimately strong dual-purpose formula: the Salicylic Acid treats breakouts while the high-lipid formula (Marula oil, Cupuacu butter, Sodium Hyaluronate) rebuilds barrier function that most acne products tear down. The technology is modern for the category; biomimetic plant lipids doing the structural work, a next-gen preservative system, and an OTC active integrated into a nourishing base instead of a drying gel. Clean alignment is excellent (9.75/10), sustainability is very good (9.5/10), and efficacy is strong (8.2/10) because the formula actually addresses two problems at once. Worth it if you need acne control without the usual desert-skin aftermath.
