Tatcha The Rice Polish Foaming Enzyme Powder

Editor's Take

The 30% ferment earns its billing, but Dimethicone gives this gentle resurfacer more cosmetic polish than the treatment story lets on.

Four-pillar formula scores

  • Formula Sustainability: 8.0 / 10

The Verdict

Efficacy is Strong, with Saccharomyces/Camellia Sinensis ferment supporting gentle, non-acid exfoliation and glycerin adding hydration. Clean is Strong too, though Dimethicone and persistent polymers keep it from stricter natural standards. The pseudo-ceramide supports the barrier, while trace alcohol and phenoxyethanol are unlikely to define the experience. A credible pick for regular resurfacing when traditional acid toners feel too aggressive.
