This formula is structurally suited to its job: the water-in-oil base creates a durable, moisture-resistant barrier that eczema skin needs, and the 20% Zinc Oxide delivers broad-spectrum protection without chemical filters. Jojoba and Sunflower oils provide biomimetic lipid replenishment at active levels, not trace decoration. The silicones (Dimethicone, Cetyl Dimethicone) are the trade-off for that persistent barrier; they reduce biodegradability but keep the formula stable and water-resistant on compromised skin.
